Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make One Pot Chicken Rice:

  1. 300 grams Chicken
  2. 2 cup Basmati Rice
  3. 1 cup Milk
  4. 3 cup Water
  5. 1 big Onion
  6. 3 green chilli
  7. 1 inch Ginger
  8. 5 Garlic
  9. 1 bay leaf
  10. 3 Cardamom
  11. 3 Cloves
  12. 1 small Cinnamon stick
  13. 4 Pepper Corns
  14. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  15. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder,
  16. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  17. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  18. 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  19. as per taste Salt
  20. 1/2 tsp Sugar (optional)
  21. 3 tbsp Oil
  22. 1 tsp Ghee
  23. Chicken marination
  24. 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  25. 1 tsp Salt
  26. 4 tbsp Curd

Instructions to make to make One Pot Chicken Rice

  1. Chicken marination, marinade for 30 - 45 minutes.
  2. Assemble all other ingredients
  3. In moderately heated pan add oil, add cumin seeds and all whole spices, Allow to crackle and add chopped onion and sauté till translucent, then add ginger garlic and sauté till onion turns golden brown.
  4. Now add coriander powder + turmeric + chilli powder and stir fry masala leaves oil.
  5. Now add marinaded chicken and stir fry under medium flame for 7-8 minutes.
  6. Add left over curd mixture by adding 3-4 tbsp water + garam masala + salt and stir fry for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Now add milk + water + green chilli + salt (as required) and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Lower flame and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Add soaked rice and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes under medium to high flame.
  10. Now lower flame, cover and cook for 15 - 20 minutes. Check in between by mixing gently. Lastly add ghee, mix well and keep in stand by for 2-3 minutes.
  11. Dish is ready to serve.
  12. Serve hot hot with raita and salad
